2024-2025 saw Calderdale Explorers enter U14 NBL after a three year absence and with Coach Billy bringing his experience and expertise to the team alongside his dual role also coaching the U16 NBL team. The busy calendar saw Coach Billy have several days where both teams had fixtures, one at home and one away which led to him overcoming logistical issues . No one who has seen the team this year cannot be impressed with the high level of skill and commitment delivered by the players . The final count of 11 wins and 7 losses gained the team a very respectable fourth place in their division. The results incudes the fact that four of their losses were extremely tight teams with 3 points or less of a margin . Any junior team needs the support and enthusiasm of the parents to thrive and the energy , organisational skills and pitch side encouragement of this group of parents involved were outstanding.
