We are pleased to announce that Calderdale Explorers Juniors have now launched and deliver two After School Clubs in local Secondary Schools on a weekly basis . (To ensure Safeguarding protocols we are not publishing the name of the schools)

Ben Lee , Head Coach of the Junior section provided his comments :

" We are delighted to be able to establish this link with local secondary schools . Anything that promotes Basketball in Calderdale and gives local children the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of physically activity is a real win-win for everyone in my book.

The PE teaching departments that have invited us in have welcomed the use of specialist Baketball Coaches to their set ups . The feedback from the club's coaches that have been invloved in the delivery of the sessions, including myself, has been overwhelmingly positive and had been great to see the enthusiasm exhibited by the pupils, many touching a basketball for the first time ."
